We met at a party at his house in April 2006. I didn’t really know him, but knew his roommate and my cousin convinced me to go. I left that night, but went back the next day to take my cousin home. I thought he was so cute and hilarious, and I ended up staying and talking to him for a while. Then, for the next week or so, I continues going back over, uninvited, pretending I was there to see his roommate, who was a friend of mine. I was crazy about him already. Our first date was April 28, 2006. We have been laughing, playing, and having fun since then!

We got engaged on April 28, 2009, three years to the day from our first date. I had been asking him if he thought we were ever going to get married and he kept telling me he “wasn’t ready”. Of course, this made me mad since we had been together so long. I am a nurse and had worked a 12 hour shift on 4-28-09 and when i got home, he had me a card and a piece of cake for our anniversary. After I ate it, he handed me a huge silver fortune cookie. I opened it, and inside it said ” i think we should get hitched” and I just looked at him and he said he was ready and that we should go look at rings on Saturday. I got so excited and starting dancing around, and then i looked at him and he was on one knee, with a box open and the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen! He had already asked my parents blessing, and gone ring shopping without me ever knowing. Of course I said yes, and then ran arond the house for the next few hours calling everyone I knew and squealing! I asked him why he kept telling me he “wasnt ready” and he said he wanted me to be surprised. I was!
